The Bite From A Mite

Hey, look what I just found on the ground
It's a bit queer, but it looks like some sort of fishing gear
It's brown and round with a hook in the rear

Hypocrites are people too. I have moments of hypocrisy, as well as most other people. I don't see what is the big deal. Religious or not, who cares. Now, what about privacy? That is an interesting topic. Should I write about it now, or wait until I have fully thought it out? I think if we try to hide all aspects of our life from people, we end up isolating ourselves. Isolation is not necessarily a pleasant feeling either. So, the goal is to realize that whether or not you trust somebody enough to open up, once you talk about relationships, financial information, or other personal information, you have told the world. The only way to be sure that your information is private is if you keep it to yourself.

But, here is the deal. If you want to keep your financial records private, you not only must not tell a single person, you have to hope that the bank records are not comprised by a hacker or an employee of that bank. The only things that are truly private in your life are things that only you have knowledge. And what are these sort of things? Well, your personal experiences that do not involve people. You basically need to be in a location that is hidden from cameras, microphones, people, and whatever else. Can you even think of anything that you want to keep private that only you have knowledge of? I don't think there are too many things. Our thoughts and ideas are basically private unless we tell someone. I can't really think of anything else.

Why do we want privacy in the first place? Are we afraid that if others have our private information they will use it to bring us harm? Maybe if somebody knows, for example, that I have millions of dollars, will do all they can to get some of that wealth, either legally in court, or illegally by stealing it in some way? Oh well. This privacy topic is now boring to write about. I'll continue to ramble off a few more ideas before ending this note.

Who are your real friends? Who are your real enemies? How can you discover who the people are that will do you good, or bring you harm? That is an interesting idea. I don't really have the answer. I tend to trust most all people, whether good people or bad people. I feel that I am strong enough to endure all the bad that can come my way as a result of being attacked by my enemies. But, if I align myself with good people, I can feel more secure. Church members feel this way. They have the church members watching their back for the most part, right?

People are the cause of my depression. My struggle to develop relationships with people are the root cause of my depression. I'm not so lucky when it comes to hooking up with the right people. I don't know how to quickly judge whether or not I should begin a relationship with a particular person. I don't necessarily mean a loving relationship. I mean any relationship; business, friendly, or otherwise. People are looking for others that can bring them benefit. But, if it is not a symbiotic relationship, then one of the two in the relationship is going to lose. I need to figure out who I can establish relationships with so that we both benefit. That is not easy!

I think you all know what I stand for, and what I try so hard to communicate: Peace among all people, and the survival of humanity trillions of years into the future. I think about huge ideas. I don't expect everyone to understand me. But, if you don't understand me, then ask questions. I'll be glad to answer them the best way I am able. Don't just simply judge and ignore me. Don't discard me and add me to your list of enemies. Don't do it. It's not good for either of us.

Here is the dilemma I am faced with. If I discover people in this world who are against me and my pursuit of peace and freedom, what should I do? Should I attack them in some way? Should I publish the names of those people I strongly feel are my enemies? Should I somehow convert those people to become my friends? I'd like to hear your ideas about that. Thank you for reading. What do you believe spirit is made of? Specifically, what atomic-level elements from the periodic table are responsible for spirit? I'm referring not to the drink, but the human spirit as described in religious books. And if you don't believe spirit is composed of elements like hydrogen and oxygen, then what do you believe it is made of? I'm guessing that spirit is made of air (oxygen, hydrogen, and nitrogen). But, I could be wrong.

Who originally conceived these words and allowed them to be re-created for me, and printed here? Did these words produce the effect that slowed down my thinking, so forcing me to regress and measure the intelligence of my own thinking process? Did these words force me to expand my cognitive borders, thereby giving me the freedom and wisdom to accurately judge the validity of my physiological response to thought?

Who or what controlled the mind of the author when this message was written? What controlled my thoughts as I read these words? Was I really in control of my own thoughts, or did these words forever change the way I was forced to read, understand, and think about language and mind control?

Who or what is now controlling my thoughts here as my eyes see and read these Latin characters arranged in an order that I understand to be the English language? From whom did I first learn to understand and speak English? Was my mom the first person whom I developed a language relationship with? Did I learn to think and survive by listening to, and making a conscious connection between, my mother's spoken words and the actions that preceded or followed her words?

Was the origin of my thoughts based on the subconscious memory of my mother's spoken words? Were my own thoughts really my mother's thoughts? Who did I recognize as being the provider of my meals as an infant? What was the connection between food and my mother's speech? Was survival dependent on forcing me to be controlled to think, understand, and respond correctly, as dictated by my mother's spoken words? Was she my initial contact to this lonely and cold world after birth? So then, from whom did my mother learn to think and speak--her mother?

Did I not prove now, after reading these words that I was not in control of my own thoughts and behavior, and never have had the freedom to choose how to think or what to think about?

Peace Without Killing

This is great. My true passion is dialogue about peace. My intial post was the public version, and when I am in dialogue with particular individuals, I try to be much less competetive, and more understanding and cooperative. Afterall, it's about peace among all people, not just my own recognition. I've thought about these things for myself without reading or hearing it from other people. In response to you David, it is very complicated and I sort of want to have some sort of organization to the line of thought.

First of all I need to say that I thank you David for your work in the military. Whether or not you have killed people, you are a man that is working to protect America and Americans. I am not against having state sponsored militaries. I understand that the way things are right now in the world, people need to do all they can to protect themselves from other people who intentionally and aggressively try to harm and kill them and others. Thank you David. Thank you America.

Let me step back a little from this post and say that I wish we could have an instant message (IM) dialogue, and then post it here. I think it's more real and efficient than sending emails and posts in the traditional way.

One of my favorite lead in questions regarding peace is: Do you think it is okay to intentionally kill other people sometimes?

Here is where things get complicated. Why? Because I tend to think globally instead of nationally. Most of us respond to the question about killing in this way: Yes, it is okay to kill sometimes because we need to protect ourselves and others from killing and harming us. Unless we kill the aggressors, then we will die. Okay. Let me do my best to explain. I ask the question not just of Americans. I ask the question of all people. I ask that question even to terrorists. Here is a senario. If all people don't agree with killing others, then there is nobody to kill in order to protect ouselves. If you answer YES, it's okay to kill others sometimes, then there is another person sitting behind an AK-47 on the other side of the world that will say that there is a guy wearing an American military uniform that believes it's okay to kill me, so I should kill him first.

This is not coming out as clear as I wanted to write about it. I'll try to simplify it. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If you don't think it's okay to kill people sometimes, then other people won't think it's okay to kill you (in theory). Regardless our of cultural, economic, political, and religious differences, if all people can answer NO, to the killing question, then nobody is targeted to die. We can have dialogue to settle differences and cooperate with others.

Well, I'm not sure if that last paragraph made sense, but I think my next idea will be more understandable. Why do people kill? They think that if they kill, then they will be protecting themselves and others. Protect and defend is the key. Here is the reason why I stand behind David and the military. They can only defend with the tools and training they have been given. They aren't necessarily paid to think of different ways to defend people without killing. They are trained with an assault rifle and told that the way to defend is to kill or capture the enemy. That's about it in a nutshell.

If you have the tools to defend without killing, would you still choose to kill? I think most of us, whether in the military or not, would answer, NO. So, why don't we have the method to defend without killing? Because we don't want to. For some reason, we (people) want to inflict pain and suffering on others because we want to get revenge. We want to see others suffering in pain. Why? That's a whole other story I can talk about later. So, David and everyone reading, here is the next question:

If you had the technology to defend yourself and others without killing, would you still keep open the option to kill other people sometimes? Yes or no?

Dude...Don't Talk To Me About Peace

I know, I know. The title is misleading. But let me explain. I have not yet heard anybody talk logical and rational ideas about peace. And I know this sounds arrogant (afterall, I am American), but I have the best ideas when it comes to peace. Nobody thinks as far into the future about humanity as I do. And I mean nobody. If someone can explain ideas about peace without getting all metaphysical and sappy, then it is just going to waste more time. My ideas about peace can stand up to any arguements. Believe me, my ideas are right. Anyone that enters dialogue with me, spiritual or physical, who opposes me at first, will walk away agreeing with me, unless they are too proud to concede.

I am so confident that I encourage others to email or IM with me about peace. Please, if you oppose peace or you think that it's okay to intentionally harm people sometimes, hit me up for a chat. We can work together to come up with more specific ideas that will eventually lead humanity in the direction of peace. I'm not an expert in all subjects, so it will take more than just my grand ideas to get the ball rolling. We need to start with the future, which I have already done. Then we work our way back to the present so we can figure out how we will reach that future. You either see a future of doom and gloom, or of peace and survival. Which camp do you belong to?

So! To start things off, please answer with a yes or no: Do you believe it is okay to kill people sometimes, for any reason? If your answer is anything other than no, then great. You are who I've been looking to chat with.
